OPJC Drug Court Program
The Orleans
Parish Juvenile Drug Court Program is a treatment –centered system
that assists juveniles with substance abuse problems and their
families in leading productive, substance e-free and crime-free
lives. The program offers intensive rehabilitative services in a
structured and supportive environment.
The Orleans
Parish Juvenile Drug Court Program provides individualized substance
abuse treatment, in-home individual and family counseling services
and intensive supervision. The program is a collaborative effort
(Office of the District Attorney, The Orleans Parish Office of
Indigent Defenders, The Orleans Parish Probation Office, The Orleans
Parish School Board, area treatment providers and other community
based agencies) designed to promote public safety and reduce
juvenile substance abuse. The Orleans Parish Drug Court program is
committed to keeping youth with their families whenever possible. In
some instances, where the juvenile is experiencing physical
withdrawal symptoms, in-patient treatment will be ordered.
The Orleans
Parish Drug Court Program is an 18 to 24 month program inclusive of
12 months aftercare and monitoring.
Eligible youth:
Ages: 13 – 17
