Juvenile Tracking Program:

The Juvenile Tracking Program (JT) is designed to provide tracking services to those youth who are referred by OPJC and live within the Parish of Orleans. The services will consist of attempting one (1) face-to-face contact seven days per week and one (1) telephone contact seven days per week performed on a random schedule to ensure maximum compliance with the youth’s conditions of release.  All efforts at contacting the youth will be made after the courts’ specified curfew time (typically, 6pm).

A written Juvenile Tracking report will be provided to the court weekly. The report will include success or failure of each face-to-face and telephone attempt. Violation and failures of the program are reported to the designated court representative the same evening or the next morning, depending on the severity.

Eligible youth:

Ages: 10 – 17

Pre-adjudication or pending disposition
